Dating self. My [26F] boyfriend [26M] and I started dating 5 years ago, but then we broke up when I moved to a different country for grad school and he moved around for his job too. He works for a big multinational and last summer he surprised me saying he would ask for a transfer to the city where I live. The plan is staying here for 1 yr and then I would follow him when he starts grad school next year. The past few months have been a rollercoaster, with this transfer pending but the company saying they didn't know rx he could move because of COVID. Finally, the transfer has been made official this week. I'm over the moon but all of a sudden he doesn't want to move anymore. He is being treated for depression and he is not always the most emotionally stable person. He says he finally has some stability and routine at home and he is not ready to restart his life from scratch, that he thinks because of his fears and unhappiness our relationship won't work, and we both will suffer.
