I'm a FTM but also a medical professional, so while I have 0 real pregnancy experience, I'm familiar with how some of the medical sciences of pregnancy operate sometimes very arbitrarily! Imagine in the 18th century, doctors would ask "so when was your period", and if you said, "3 months ago", the doctor will expect you to give birth in about months.
