The pupil's parents have bought five pairs of shoes all deemed to be 'unacceptable'. A school boy has missed weeks of education at a Gloucester school because he doesn't have the right shoes to wear. When Vaclav Carady returned to Gloucester Academy on the first day back since lockdown - Tuesday March 9 - the year-old was pulled up for wearing what was deemed as unacceptable shoes. His parents bought him the shoes in a rush the night before, however they were similar to what he had worn previously at school. The Year Seven pupil was then offered a pair of girls' shoes in his size and a pair of boys' shoes that were two sizes too big even though Vaclav has to wear a certain type of shoe due to a high arch in his foot. The school says it expects pupils to attend school even if they do not have the correct uniform and offers children free clothing if they don't have the correct uniform. His parents say they are upset and frustrated because Gloucester Academy, in Saintsbridge, has not accepted five different pairs of shoes they have bought for their son. His mum Denisa Caradyova, 34, from Tredworth says she was angry when she saw her son come home having been made to wear shoes that were too big. All what we could find in the supermarkets were black and leather and Velcro fastening.
